From autonomous aviation innovation at Lleida-Alguaire Airport to Goya’s artistic legacy in Zaragoza, two Spanish cities demonstrate how aerial technology can connect infrastructure, culture and society.
Madrid, Spain, October 12, 2026 — — EHang Holdings Limited (“EHang” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: EH), the world’s leading Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology platform company, has completed two large-scale drone light shows in Lleida and Zaragoza, Spain in October. The consecutive performances brought thousands of coordinated drones to an aviation setting in Catalonia and 3,000 drones to Zaragoza’s night sky, further extending EHang’s European activities into new forms of aerial entertainment and public cultural engagement.
Together, the events highlight more than the scale of synchronized aerial performances. They build on EHang’s established relationships with Aeroports de Catalunya, Fundación Ibercaja and the City of Zaragoza, and illustrate how advanced aerial technologies can be introduced through sustained cooperation with European aviation stakeholders, public institutions and local communities.
Lleida: From an Airport Showcase to an Aviation Innovation Ecosystem
At the Lleida Air Challenge 2026 at Lleida-Alguaire Airport, thousands of drones illuminated the airport sky with aerial formations celebrating the region and the evolution of aviation. The show brought autonomous aerial entertainment into an active aviation innovation environment.
Lleida-Alguaire Airport is home to EHang’s European UAM Center, established in cooperation with Aeroports de Catalunya. The center provides a base for testing, operational demonstrations, infrastructure development and collaboration with European aviation and research partners, including activities associated with SESAR U-ELCOME and EUSPA SAMVA.

The performance represents a further dimension of EHang’s cooperation with Aeroports de Catalunya: alongside work to integrate next-generation autonomous aircraft into European aviation systems, the partners are exploring how coordinated aerial technologies can create new public experiences and applications.
Zaragoza: Goya’s Artistic Legacy Reimagined in the Sky
In Zaragoza, 3,000 drones transformed the night sky into a monumental moving canvas inspired by Francisco de Goya and his masterpieces, a major figure in world art and an important precursor of modern European painting. Light, movement and music brought his artistic imagery into a new public setting, connecting centuries of cultural heritage with contemporary technology.
Organized by Fundación Ibercaja in collaboration with Zaragoza City Council, the performance marked the foundation’s 150th anniversary and the reopening of the expanded and renovated Goya Museum, during the city’s Fiestas del Pilar celebrations.

A Broader European Platform: Technology, Institutions and Real-World Applications
The two events showcase EHang’s ability to coordinate large formations of drones through automated command-and-control and synchronized flight operations. Drone light shows and passenger-carrying eVTOL operations are distinct applications, each subject to its own operational and regulatory requirements; together, they demonstrate the breadth of the company’s aerial technology activities.
EHang’s European strategy goes beyond individual demonstrations. By building local infrastructure, engaging aviation authorities and airport operators, participating in European research programmes and expanding partnerships with cities and institutions, the company aims to connect technological innovation with practical deployment and long-term ecosystem development.
The Lleida and Zaragoza projects extend these existing relationships into aerial entertainment, while maintaining the broader focus on safe, responsible and sustainable development of advanced air mobility in Europe.
Victoria Xiang, President of EHang Europe and Latin America stated, “These two performances show how advanced aerial technologies can become part of European aviation, urban life and cultural expression. At Lleida-Alguaire Airport, our long-term cooperation with Aeroports de Catalunya has helped establish a platform for integrating autonomous aviation into the European ecosystem. In Zaragoza, 3,000 drones brought Goya’s artistic legacy into the night sky, showing how innovation can connect people with their cultural heritage. Our ambition is not simply to introduce technology into Europe, but to work with local institutions, industries and cities so that it creates lasting value.”
Through continued collaboration with European partners, EHang intends to advance a diversified aerial ecosystem spanning advanced air mobility, logistics, emergency-response applications and aerial entertainment.
